A practical one-day first aid course suitable for lower-risk workplaces and candidates who need a recognised first aid qualification before SIA licence-linked training.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideal for lower risk businesses, in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981.
From 1 April 2021, SIA expects all applicants for a door supervisor or security guard license to complete a first aid qualification. The first aid course should be in line with the Health and Safety First Aid regulations 1981. The certificate must be valid for at least one year from the course start date or if you are applying for a license for the first time.

Valid ID certificate could be Passport, Birth Certificate or Driving License
Its a day course from 9 am to 5 pm.
Assessment is mainly ongoing and practical, with the tutor observing your skills throughout the day.
The certificate is valid for three years after successful completion.
For many SIA licence-linked routes, candidates need an acceptable first aid qualification before training.
