The assignment with Careys began in February 2018 with a substantial commitment of 924 hours per week. This indicates the magnitude of the project and the level of dedication required from the team. The construction site itself did not present any significant pre-existing environmental concerns or ecological issues, which was a positive aspect of the project. However, it is worth mentioning that measures were taken to address and mitigate any potential disruptions caused by the construction activities for the local residents. These measures aimed to ensure that the construction phases would run smoothly and that the impact on the surrounding community would be minimized.
Our consistency of staff was a major advantage for the client, as it ensured a familiar and reliable team handling their security needs. Additionally, our external management and problem-solving skills further enhanced our services. However, like many contracts, communication skills from our workforce remained a key concern. We understand the significance of clear communication in meeting our client’s expectations and have implemented the necessary protocols to ensure its effectiveness. As a result, we have already witnessed substantial improvements in this area.
I want to reiterate how impressed we are on site with the professionalism of your team. Notwithstanding that the reputation of the Gurkha regiment is well known and respected; we have relished the opportunity to work alongside your Security Officers. They bring with them their reputation; professionalism and courtesy into our world where frankly we struggle to meet their standards. It has truly been a pleasure.

We at Grosvenor Square (GS) would like to take this opportunity to highlight how fortunate we are to have Gurkha Security Services (GSS) on our site. For those who are unaware, the Gurkhas have contributed significantly to the UK military and UK national security throughout the recent history and we are lucky to have their team patrolling/guarding our project. GSS have been on our site since we took over from the American and will remain with us for the duration of the project. They patrol site 24/7 and always with an attitude of helpfulness. Not only can GS and the neighborhood rest easy knowing we have top-notch security, but Gurkha guys are wonderful and friendly blokes.
