Gorkha District Earthquake affected statistic
Area of Gorkha: 3610 square Km /1390 Square Miles
Numbers of villages affected: A great number of villages remain inaccessible, and the population is in desperate need of assistance. An estimated 70% of all houses in the district Gorkha have been destroyed. In some villages, more than 90% of houses have been destroyed. 19 village development committees (VDCs) have been assessed as the worst affected:
Barpak, Laprak, Gumda, Saurpani, Lapu, Manbu and Simjung
Highly affected VDCs
Kerauja, Uhiya, Samagaun, Lho, Prok, Chumchet, Kashigaun, Sirdibas, Bihi, Jaubari, Chhaikampar and Kharibote
There are number of villages in each VDC and In general across the area of 1390 Square Miles is badly affected

Government Buildings/Schools: Totally Destroyed 227, Partially Destroyed 36
Private buildings/Houses Totally Destroyed 59527, Partially Destroyed 13428
Total of casualty/killed in the area: Casualties 952, Killed 449
The Propriety of our projects for Gorkha
Community hall: to shelter, in any natural disaster and can be use as community functions premises such as wedding, funeral.
We will ensure the building is earthquake-resistant structures with the use of local materials/resources where possible with adequate facilities reconnected Water, Electric, Sanitation. These premises are also useful for education and training facilities as well as Health care facilities.
To building one community hall will cost about 10 -15 lakh rupees.
Once the project building is completed, our management team hands over to the villagers. We also set up a small management team in each village maintain the building.
Creating jobs in the villages: so that they don’t have to go abroad to work as low paid unskilled worker by providing them, farming skills, ie how to look after a chicken farm, goat farm, buffalo farm milk process, butter process, agricultural nutrients etc.
Bringing back Prod Sikchha (Adult Educations), staying healthier, food hygiene, additional relief to those left disabled due to the devastation, affected senior citizens, single women, diseased, pregnant and new mothers, disabled, etc. Baby is being delivered mother is suffering there is no medicine and food.
Micro hydro power or solar power to each village
Rebuild/support school to in these areas
